Wordpress question: can I create "custom" URLs as I want?

    Hi,

    I have a manually-coded site, which I want to move over to Wordpress. And I want to know if I can create the URLs as they are on the current site.

    Thing is, that my URLs are rather complicated and I want to keep them for the sake of SEO and many (already existing) inbound links.

    My URLs look like this:

    www.mysite.com/maincategory/subcategory/page-001.htm

    <<< can I organize the folders and URLs in such a way that they remain the same in the new Wordpress site
