wordpress publish Error 404 - Not Found

    When i write a post and click publish, it brings a page saying " error 404 - not found " What can i do to fix this problem?

    That Should Cause A Problem!!

    He Is telling that, He cant Publish the Article!! And I Think you are Mistaken that, he meant he cant View his Published Articles!!

    I suspect A Miss in the Core Files :D

    are you hosted on a free host or have paid hosting?did you delete anything or any file from your host

    did you move to this host recently?this error comes from mod_security installed on server,

    Step 1: disable plugins. Step 2: revert to original theme. Step 3: set your permalink structure back to default.

    If none of those makes a difference post back here and we can get more technical, if one of them does work then you're sorted :)

    Is you wordpress blog shared.

    Check the permalink like everyone said.

    i set my permalink back to default and i was able to publish. But i reverted back to permalink custom structure, but the problem started again. Any ideas to fix it?

    Did you try disabling your plugins too? If you don't try what's suggested so far we can't suggest more things :p

    Did it also update your .htaccess? You might have to update it for yourself, or CHMOD it to 0777.

    i deactivated all my plugins, but the problem still persists. How do i update my .htaccess manually because i set it to 0777 but the problem still persists.

    You might need to enable mod_rewrite in your php.ini config

    Does this only happen when you publish a post? What I mean is, after you've published it, is the post okay / exists with no 404?
