My sister had a problem with her wordpress sidebar links not working. Ref: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=6684353#post6684353 BAPUN the Coding Guru offered to help us out. He convinced me he was experienced enough to sort the problems out and conned me into thinking it was very serious problem & that it would take a lot of time to fix, he charged me $86.00 which I was dumb enough to pay up-front. Unfortunately he didn't solve the issue at all, he actually left the blog utterly inoperable and wasted a lot of my valuable time. I have just finished a complete re-install and returned it back to normal. It took me 2 hours as opposed to nearly six hours of mine that Bapun wasted yesterday, whilst he was pretending he was working so hard to fix it for me. He also now has the template that my sister paid for, and as you can see from his posts, he is offering to sell templates. Many of them are illegal copies that he has stolen. Well, BAPUN, you wanted itrader .... you got it !
That's horrible, sorry to hear that happen to you. Next time get talk with people with more posts/itraders and get opinions of the problem's solution from a few people and compare them to see if it's really sever or not. If you have another problem with wordpress pm me, i'll check it out for no charge and tell you the problem.
Thanks a billion for your advice & kind offer JayZ I was stupid for not having checked his credentials on here first but after chatting with him I figured he wouldn't be lying to me because there would obviously be a bad come-back for him !! I guess some people are only in it for a quick gain, not the long-term. More fool him. Thanks again, will deffo call you up if we run into difficulties again
No problem, it happened to me before, i'll be gald to help you out if anything comes up as i hate scamers and also report him to a mod so he can be banned.
