Hi, At present am using ColorLabs Arthemia and I'm considering a switch to Thesis or Genesis as Arthemia is kind of obsolete. I'm little bit confused between thesis and genesis. How does Genesis compares with Thesis? My preference is Genesis but still want to make sure that it offers the features of Thesis. Do Genesis offer any special SEO advantage which Thesis lacks or vice versa? lso, my main concern is Site Speed. Does Genesis loads faster than Thesis? ~ Minterest
Hi, In terms of functionality I think both fares equally.. but so far the issue is... There's no option to change the width of content, or sidebar of the template.. we have to do it manually editing theme files... that's what I read from reviews... In thesis we can do it easily from Theme options.... Any thoughts on this? I want to use minimal plugins.. and want to remove as much as I can...
If you want the flexibility of changing site layout without having to touch the code you might want to check PlatformPro by PageLines, one of the best framework IMO.
Thesis is outstanding and specially the new thesis 2.0 is a master piece. However less documentation is available for 2.0. The previous version 1.85 is easy to operate.
I will suggest you to go for Genesis compared to Thesis... Genesis are working great for most of my sites and i seriously love Genesis!!
Both are great. You would prefer to go for thesis if you are not much willing to touch code. But you can understand Genesis concept of hooks and edits, that is awesome. I personally use genesis.
This is terms of investment I think both quickly equally.. but so far the use There's no programer to change the sting of content, or sidebar of the any temper .
Even I tried a lot to get their contact form or sales e-mail. If anyone could post here then it would be great.
You can simply drop your questions in Thesis Theme Support forum. They have an amazing community. Everyone is helpful there.
VisionZolution@ If the documentation for 2.0 version is released then i am sure thesis is going to become one of the best. I agree that the new version is hard to understand, but that is because the whole system is changed and actually changed for the better. Lets see when Chris and his team will release the documentation to overcome all such issues.
