Premium themes are dirt cheap, and the amount of effort they save you is priceless. Nobody buys from unprofessional sites. If you are just blogging to be blogging then fine go find a free theme. But if you are blogging to make money premium themes are worth every cent. Time is money, and the more you waste dicking around to try and make something work, the less you make. It's always easier to just do it right in the first place and not waste your time. Gabfire makes some very nice commercial magazine/newspaper type themes.
