    Akismest is probably the best, here are some others to look into.

    Impostercide
    Moderate Authors
    WordPress Hashcash

    And VishalVasani just my personal opinion, you are releasing your entire article
    into your feed, try just releasing the summary so people are forced to go to your blog if they would like to read the rest.

    Yes, Askimet is the way to go, it has never failed me so far and i'm running a couple of high traffic wordpress sites.
