Wordpress Plugin Problem Please Help

I just started using wordpress after using a traditional HTML website. My problem is that I was able to install a new theme and add the backup plug-in using ALFTP with no problem.

However, now I am trying to install a few more plug-ins, but none of them show up on my wordpress plug-in page to activate.

I used ALFTP the same way as I did for the theme and the backup plug-in and installed them in the wp-content/plugins directory. It appears they all transfered right, but they do not show up on wordpress for me to activate??????

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Chad

Which plugins are you using and you did put them in the correct folder /wp-content/plugins/?

I don't know ALFTP but your ftp client shouldn't matter.

    FYI,

I think it had to do with waiting for bluehost to validate my account. As soon as they did it seemed to work fine.

    Thanks,

    Chad
