Has anyone ever seen a plugin for Wordpress, where you can enter the URL of a website and Wordpress will replace the URL with a thumbnail-sized screenshot of the website? If so, what is the plugin called, and where can I get my greasy mitts on it?
I think I've found 2 plugins that can do something like this, please check them out, I have no idea if they will actually work! http://andufo.com/proyectos/plugins/wp-websnapr/ http://www.xsized.de/wordpress-plugin-snapr/
Wow..thanks mathias, i even don't know this type of plugins exist..since im not using snapout on my blog.
Ok, cool, thanks for your feedback guys. I've incorporated a couple of different plugins into my blog Bread Milk Digital, and I even did a blog post on a couple of the options which you can check out here: Bread Milk Digital post about inserting website thumbnails into Wordpress One thing I did find, is that (until about 5 days ago) there were a distinct lack of plugins that actually embedded the thumbnail image into the blog post - instead they were using mouseover 'bubbles' that would appear when you hovered over hyperlinks. In the last few days PicDonkey (see my blog post above) and ShrinkTheWeb have now created new plugins which allow you to embed actual website thumbnails into your blog, rather than requiring the mouseover action... sweet!
