    Hey all,

I'm looking for a wp plugin to manage a mailing list/newsletter. Nothing huge but should be able to handle a few thousand subscribers. Any suggestions?

    thanks

    Subscribe2 is the other option = http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe2

Whatever the plugin is you will have to deal with the spamming issue like all the newsletters sent through shared servers so the safe option for a few thousand subscribers is to use Aweber

thanks, well I'm not planning to send the email frequently, maybe just once a week or so. Might indeed go with aweber here, just need to get a form to put on the blog for it then

Subscribe2 is mostly to send emails about new posts, I need a general email list, so wp-ajax-newsletter looks better. Wanna be my second subscriber to help test it? :D I put the form on my blog.

    Waiting for your feedback! ;)

We are using the feedburner email subscription plugin and it's working okay. :)

well I tested it and it works
But I'll probably use aweber for the long run

feedburner sounds cool too. Is it all free and are there any limits? Thanks

Do you want to rely on an external service? Even if it's a good system it's the problem with feedburner

Aweber is the best email marketing solution indeed
