Wordpress plugin and quick index in google..

I wanted to share this with all of dp's wordpress users. I'm sure the majority of you know this, but just in case.

I installed a plugin named Google XML Sitemaps. As the name denotes, it creates an XML Google Sitemap. Installing this plugin allows you to create and update your XML Sitemap very easily.

    What I do.
After I post I open up the control panel for the plugin and click the 'Rebuild the Sitemap' link. Then I login to my google webmasters account and resubmit my sitemap. I normally do this once, maybe twice a day.

The quickest I have seen my posts show up in google's index was around 2 hours after posting.

For some reason I'm not able to add my links to my signature right now, so I'll post the url to my blog so that you can do a site: search in google if you like.

    I hope this helps!

I have been seeing my posts show up in 2 to 10 minutes and ranking! This is without a sitemap on that site.

    Google likes optimized wordpress blogs!!!!!!

Well, I just thought I would share. It seemed to make a difference for me on my new blog.

That's the best part about free advice... if it sucks, you're not out much.

You also learn if someone corrects you or has "better" advise. Who knows, maybe the SEO Plug-in would not change how fast your site was indexed versus using your method above. Or if you don't understand SEO enough to implement it, yet you get similar results with sitemaps.

Take it as all learning, whether or not you are seen as "right" or "wrong" in your advise. I don't agree with everything SEO gurus say. Some of them still put everything behind getting high PR and other say PR is not so much the concern anymore.

Anyways, I hope you didn't take offense at how I gave my advise. I will remember what you said here if things change for me or someone else I know doesn't find what I do to be working for them.

The name of the plugin is simply: Google XML Sitemaps.

You can search for it via wordpress or visit my blog listed at the top of this thread and in my sig. I made a post with a link.

This method will certainly work for blogs that have not been indexed yet or are fairly new.

It's up to how frequently your posts submitted. If you submitted new content daily, weekly and always at the same time, it means you are telling Google bots that "hey, checking for my new post at that time". Surely your posts will be indexed very quickly. (Sorry for my bad English)
