I created a new self-hosted wordpress blog and i am now wanting to add various plug-ins, but i keep getting an error message in my FTP, after i download the plugins. The message is below: Checking files: * File all-in-one-seo-pack(2).zip is OK Transferring files to the FTP server: * Processing archive nr 1: all-in-one-seo-pack(2).zip o Unable to extract the files and directories from the archive Why aren't the files and directories NOT being extracted? I have a personal blog, that i download plugins to regularly, and never have this problem. I don't know why i am getting this error on this new blog. Can anyone advise?
if u host allow zip extration then you can use www.net2ftp.com . it is online ftp after transfer just unzip it from it or you want i can do this for you.
Hi---Espice: I normally dont have problems with downloading plug-ins, but for my new blog, im getting an error. I do use Net2Ftp, that is what i use. Anyone else?
Mhm, that makes sense, uncompress the files and upload them as uncompressed in the plugins directory.
With Net2FTP, the files are automatically uncompressed, and then transferred to server. Why would it be any different with this new blog? I've attached a screenshot of my panel, if this helps anyone help me.
