Wordpress Plug-in Suggestion?

Hi,

I am learning to build my first Wordpress website, what are your recommendations on
your personal favorite and must have Wordpress plug-in?


I want to build a lifestyle website using magazine style theme template, with sub-
categories such Art, fashion, music and etc… And with a forum, a member only exclusive area, and a squeeze page.

 

After the Deadline - excellent plugin for proofreading
Automatic Post Tagger - my own must-have plugin that automatically adds user-defined tags to posts
BWP Google XML Sitemaps - creates and maintains a sitemap

There are also plugins like WordPress SEO by Yoast or All in One SEO Pack that are recommended by many people, but I don't use them (anymore). You may find them useful though.

You'll probably need bbPress which is a native forum platform for WP.

 

For forums, bbpress is great. You can also try out mingle forum, which has many advanced features.

 

If you want to restrict access to certain pages, check out s2member. It will also integrate with bbpress.

WP Super Cache or W3 Total cache - improves user experience by boosting server performance
Ultimate Google Analytics or similar - for extremely easy GA implementation on your website
WP Socializer or similar - for inserting all kinds of Social bookmarking & sharing buttons
Quick Adsense or similar - if you want to earn some money with Google Adsense - quick way to insert Google Adsense or any Ads code
NextGEN Gallery - great photo gallery
