Wordpress Please Help Me With Spam Comments Delete Them All!!!

Guys I have literaly 30,000 comments of spam that got around my 1 link moderation and akemist. I am sick of it!

I can only mass delete 19 at a time with wordpress! I want to just delete every damn comment. I don't even care about all the good ones. I am going to be banned by adsense!

 

Make sure no comment gets posted without admin moderation. Then add a captcha.

 

Clear your comments database.

Use phpmyadmin and clear wp_comments table or you could use Commit Suicide.

Can I see the site? I want to see 30,000 spam comments. Lol. Don't you have Akismet?

XtremeCarforum.com look at the comments. Theres like 700 on each. Yah I have it, it catches a couple thousand a day. I don't know why my little site is like a porn meeting!

 

Yeah saw it already and I edited my previous post. To make it easy for you, use Commit Suicide plugin for Wordpress and tick only the comments checkbox. Do you want me to do it for you?

Check the option in Wordpress to only post comments for previously approved users.

Log into your cPanel... or whichever panel you have with your host. cPanel has an icon for phpMyAdmin... or select whichever database management app you may have. Select your WP database and select the table "wp_comments" and choose the option to empty it. All comments will then be gone in a few seconds.

Do as scoopy82 above said and you'll be fine. Forcing people to register to comment won't be good for your blog if you do expect visitors to leave a comment though. I would:

-Get a spam protection plugin like the Math Comment Spam Plugin.
-Use the "Comment Moderation" and "Comment Blacklist" lists in the admin panel to automatically reject comments with flagged words or markup.
-Initially, make sure "An administrator must always approve the comment" is checked off in admin panel.

 

Something isn't working the empty in cp nor the suicde plug-in is doing anything at all. Even called hosting he has no idea. I am about to just delete everything

I don't think you have cpanel... do you? What is your control panel ? Was there any error messages on your attempt to empty this table ?

Do you have anyplace in your control panel for SQL commands ?

 

You have not dropped wp_comments completely, I think.
