Could be a problem if you save your blog, it automaticaly pings, then you revise. Would additional pings be considered spam despite small changes?
I just don't like pinging to only one service...If its down the second you send yours, you get no pings. With all the individual ones, you will only miss one or two. Not sure how often that happens but its just as easy to cut and paste the whole list
Ah ha - I see. I don't ping automatically - I go to Pingoat and do it manually. Cool - I understand now - thanks.

The site mentioned in the first post (Wordpress Compressed All Inclusive Ping List) has updated it's page with more information. It's a must see if you want to avoid pinging the same service twice.
Stupid question - can the Pingoat address be entered into wordpress like the pingomatic??? For Pingomatic, I have http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ Would the one for pingoat be the same, (change URL obviously) or is Pingoat manual only?

This is really a good list to consider while blogging. Although we can ping once we did with http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ , we can check whether it is listed in other sites...
