Wordpress Ping Feature

    When you link to another blog, Wordpress pings the other blog (ie trackback) with your blog site title.

    Is there any way to configure it so that it doesn't use the site title but perhaps the domain name or something else that I can configure separately.

    According to me that can't be done without modifying core Wordpress files.
