    Hello All,

I am in DIRE NEED of a Wordpress, MYSQL, and server EXPERT ASAP. About 2 days ago my blog started running VERY slow; taking about 1-2 minutes to load. I then decided to upgrade to WP 2.3. From that point on the website was even slower, so today I went back to 2.0 and it is still slow.

I am not sure why the website is soooooo sloooooowwww, but I need someone to take a look at my Wordpress, database, and server config to find out where the problem is for me; then come up with a possible fix.

I am not sure if everything needs to be removed and started from 0 or what, but I need someone on this ASAP. PLEASE email me ASAP at if you can help. I would prefer to talk live on an instant messenger like MSN, YAHOO, or GMAIL.

I am of course looking to pay whoever can do this job(via paypal), and would probably like to keep you around for future issues. This is not something I am willing, would like, or have time to fix. I would rather hire someone for the job. PLEASE get back to me. Thanks.

Here are my dedicated server details:

Hardware: Intel Dual Core 3.2 Ghz processor (2 processors)
2 gb DDR high performance ram
    1 x 80 GB SATA II disk
1x 100 Mbit ethernet port with 1000 GB data transfer (1 TB)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.5 (Centos) 32 bit
    Plesk 8.1 Control Panel

I would love to offer my services but i'm too bogged down at the moment. Your first step however should be to contact your host/server provider and find out what they have done to the servers (upgrades, downgrades, regular maintenance etc), when i site is running fine then slows its usually a hardware issue.

Try restarting your web server first, this might solve your problem.

connect to your shell and type in
    top
    and hit enter
check your load and cpu usage if the values are high see whats causing it, if it is mysql/apache just restart apache and see if this fixes it
to restart apache you would do
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart (login as root or su as user)

after restart check the load again give it 1-2 min if it doesnt go down try another restart of the webserver if that doesnt fix the issue or if mysql nor apache are causing it try and contact your provider
