Hi Forum! I'm going to create my own photoblog but need a suggestion, which CMS has the best plugin to create perfect photoblog with albums and image slideshows, I know that Wordpress has some plugin for this called NextGEN Gallery, will this combination be the best choice, what about Drupal and Joomla photoblog features?
if you want to start cms with forum then i would like to suggest you drupal. Only for photoblog you can use wordpress. As per my experience it is one of the smallest and smartest application available on the internet. it can solve your problem very easily. NextGen is one of the finest gallery. But if you do't like the layout of the same you can hire a designer to develop a custom theme for your photoblog.
Each of the 3 listed can create a well put together photoblog. All of them have a learning curve as well. Wordpress probably has the highest level of entry on getting to advanced features and will take the most time to find everything you want. HOWEVER, with the time spent learning on it you will have a larger variety of features available to you. It really is a matter of personal preference but I'm almost at that point where I would suggest Wordpress as the default CMS for almost anything content driven. The only major exceptions to that would be if you need a forum and e-commerce as the forum solutions for Wordpress haven't quite matured to the point where they need to be yet and I haven't felt comfortable with the e-commerce solutions. For a photoblog though I do believe Wordpress would be the best of the 3 to pick up learning. You'll have a ton of both plugins and themes right off the bat that are easy to find to get it up and running.
