Wordpress permalink format

Something confused me when trying to select a permalink format in wordpress. What I really want is this format: myblog.com/%postname% only. But I've read the wordpress tutorial about using permalinks here and there's a warning on using the format:
Anybody tried the %postname% format only for permalink in WP? Is it true that it makes us impossible to access pages such as stylesheet or wp-admin folder?

    Thanks..

try to create a seperate blog within your site and try that structure, if everything goes well then you are free to do that to your main blog, if not then there's no harm done since you can delete it anyway and you can drop the tables in your database.

I use /%postname%/ for my own site Kaushalsheth.com and haven't faced any problem yet.

Welcome Kaushal - the famous Wordpress theme designer ;)

I used to use /%postname% on an old blog and it worked without any problems.

Thanks to all of you who have commented. I'm trying it now. So far so good.

thok, I don't think that we can have the same post title, that's why it is not suggested.
