1) I am using the latest version of wordpress to date and I am using the default theme Twenty Fourteen from wordpress. I have tried to customize it making the sidebar to the left and the main menu bar at the top making it white, so essentially the whole themew will be all white but with black fonts and texts. I have seen it done on another wordpres blog and I even emailed the link to the page to my godaddy tech support person but apparently at that time the blogger changed the theme back to it's default settings so he couldn't look at it and make the relevant changes to the theme on my blog as everything had been restored. Unfortunately afterwards when i tried visiting the blog again to somehow copntact the owner or webmaster the blog had been deleted. I know it was the same theme from wordpress as it said ast the bottom of the page, "Powered by wordpress" the theme may need to be adjusted based on the code in the editor section of the wordpress dashbaord and may require knowlewdge of css or php. I don't know how to code even though I know woprdpress well and have been using wordpress.com since 2008 and wordpress.org since 2011. I have been reading and watching videos online but I am stuck and based on the fact that my godaddy.com tech support guy couldn't figure out how to change the colour of the left sidebar and top mednu bar to white I doubt I could be able to figure it out myself as well. So I am seeking help. 2) Secondly I have been trying since last week to put YouTube videos into my posts using Windows Live Writer and Wordpress' dashboard but somehbow lately it hasn't been working. I went to the post page then clicked add media, add url or link and inserted it but after I inserted it and saved the page when I went to the page the video doesn't show up. It only shows the text assocaited with the link whetehr the URL itsel;f or the name of the video as I typed it in when In serting it. How do I insert YouTube videos. I know that question sounds silly but something is wrong and if it's something I am doing wrong I'd like to know so I can rectify it and change my methods. I don't know why it's not wolrking. I tried it with all four of my blogs and my wordpress.com blog and the same problem occurs. Why is this so and is this a general problem lately for wordpress users? Is anyone else having this problem? 3) Thirdly the slidedeck Lite 2 plugin. I have downloaded it and installed it but I can only embed the slider in individual posts and posts pages not on the main page. I need to use code but when I went to the FAQ section of their forums. Ity gave me some weird instructions. I am not a coder so I didn't understand and I asked some of my woprdpress guru friends and they had troubles too. Does anyone know how to insert a slider into the main page for the slidedeck Lite 2 plugin? If so how? I figure it's a matter of inserting it somewhere using code but I don't know how to copde and I don't want to mess up my blog or theme. I tried using the editor section of my wordpress dashboard but was stuck. Can anyone out there assist me please? I really need help with these three issues. So please, I am beseeching you all out there for some assistance.

It requires you to have a twenty fourteen child theme which is important imo. So that when you do updates to your theme, the settings won't be lost.
