    Word press is better than Joomla because it is user friendly and even you can easily handle word press website. As per the requirement you can also add plugin related to SEO.

    It really depends on your website. If you just have content oriented website than Wordpress will be the best choice.

    I suggest Wordpress. Just about anything can be customized to your needs no matter what niche or type of website you have.

    Wordpress is best for beginner, because if you are new than you can learn easily WP and it is open source. So you can easily get idea for wordpress.

    Wordpress is easier in all fronts. I used Joomla due to the very very nice templates they had for it but it is not worth giving up the easy user interface of Wordpress over some nice looking templates. Wordpress has many good looking templates now you can purchase for under $50. Joomla is cumbersome also. You will kick yourself hard once you find out how slow joomla gets after your database grows. Go with Wordpress 100%!

    Wordpress does have a great deal of SEO related plugins, for that alone I place it above Joomla or Blogger

    Wordpress and Joomla are both the best content management systems (CMS) with their own pros and cons but i would prefer wordpress .
    WORDPRESS
    -Simple to use .
    -Excellent for blogging .
    -easy to upgrade .
    JOOMLA
    -Friendly for all types of users - Designers, Developers and Administrators.
    -Not user friendly & difficult to understand .

    Simply Wordpress, it's friendy SEO, has a lot of plugins, you can manage it easier than Joomla, there are alot of nice themes, you can use it for blogs or as a powerful CMS, is free, has a big backup team which are always improving security issues, etc, etc...
