    I know that this question is a little old. But i thought i would chime in. I ran a site for a few years in Joomla and I regretted it very early on. There were many many things I did not like about it and the hardest thing I found was the SEO crap. I am now running a whole new site and went with wordpress from the start and so far I have nothing at all that I have found to complain about. If you ever want to talk with someone who is also learning wordpress as he goes then let me know.
