Blogger - it's another Google product and you can sign up to AdSense via Blogger. It's also a very easy way to learn blogging if you're just beginning.
I take you mean the shared wordpress blog rather than self hosting? Im not sure ... use wordpress self hosted and its the business!
Get a domain, and use wordpress. This is by far the most customizable, and best way to do it. If you aren't that serious, go with a blogger account. Domains are about 7 to 10 bucks, hosting is about 10 bucks a month, and wordpress is free.
Having both, the issue is more about how much effort you want to put into the site. If you are wanting something quick and "cheap" then blogger. If you want something you are going to work and customize, wordpress. IMHO
I would recommend Wordpress if you have a domain for your blog. Hosting is not problem, as you can use freehosts (e.g. freehostia.com or iifree.net).
Wordpress is better because of plugins and themes they have but you can't use adsense on wordpress.org shared If you can get a domain and self host the wordpress then its the best choice. Or if you can't spend $ for domain then get a blogger blog. DarkX
We're talking about 'starting off with AdSense' here - not which blog platform is the best in general.
Go in for blogger if you do not have adsense account yet , as more than 90 % of blogs get approved by adsense if they are based on blogger.
@CountryBoy If you're talking about my post then I was talking about "adsense" ,wordpress have adsense plugins and theme where you can blend the adsense very well DarkX
It doesn't matter. You can be accepted by Adsense using both platform, and both platform offers decent flexibility to add the ad units. However, I strongly suggest using WP for blogging sake.
Two thumbs up for Wordpress - very customizable - tons and tons of plugins for Adsense - very friendly and easy to use!
