Both, Wp & blogger are good, In terms of simplicity & SEO things definately wordpress for much flexibility and customization with best offered plugins are there. While Blogger is easy to customize has no complicated things to follow. But for long term business I will prefer Wordpress at this time.

I'm currently working on a blogger blog because my wordpress blog wasn't making me any money. We'll see how it works out and then I'll let you know for sure what is better.

I would definitely insist that you host your affiliate blog on your own website! Wordpress is the best for this as it is easy to set up and customize. You shouldn't host a money making blog on a free site simply because all they have to do is mark your blog as spam and then you are done and your income is gone.

Wrong. So long as you follow the terms and conditions that Blogger set you will be just fine. If you go against these terms (for example extremely offensive content) then Blogger will put the specific blog on hold, providing a period of time for you to then get your point across on the matter. They might ask you to put an interstitial notice up or summat. Of course, all you have to do is move to a fresh domain (like most people do), hide the crappy nav bar, add the logo and you then have full ownership/responsibility.

Either one is fine. As long as you provide valuable content and drive traffic to it, you should be okay.

If you want to spruce up your Blogger blog with easy to load templates, check out BTemplates. Just follow the instructions or view eHow's How To Install Free Blogger Templates Video Tutorial.

WordPress hands down is amazing, however I do like to use Google Blogspot. Reasoning? If you are already hosted by Google, and are using the blogspot domain, surely this must have a positive impace on your site indexing?

Either way, when using BlogSpot no longer works for me, I will look into alternatives. Personally I am madly in love with every aspect of WordPress.

I know a few people who use and are happy with Blogger but for me it would be self hosted WP all the way.

Although Blogger is owned by Google. Wordpress is LOVED by google if you optimize your blog. You will definately want it on a self hosted platform and it is easy to get up and running. If you need something or want something added... more than likely a plugin has already been created to accomplish just what you wanted. You can tie multiple social media apps to it. Hands down Wordpress is the way to go

As far as I know, Wordpress is better. I may be misinformed, but wordpress seems to be much more customizable and you can use it on your own hosting. However, what will be most important on your blog is not the layout- it is the content.

Used both, but have taken a liking to Wordpress mainly because of its easy to inteface and extensive list of plugins.
