I like them both BUT Wordpress has a TON more plugins that can help you basically create any type of site you want. I vote for WP but like I mentioned I also like blogger for blogging as well.
I only use Blogger when I'm still new with blogging. Once I knew about Wordpress, I don't use the other else. - Dynashox -
You could also just get a free account with wordpress.com and blogger.com, you could blog on both of them ;-) Why not blog on both, many people actually do.
Blogger can get traffic through their own network with little effort, it may not be much but it's better than nothing
and one thing still Blogger can be used to leverage campaigns. There is nothing wrong with "getting your feet wet" with blogger. I still have blogger blogs that are years old. I do not use them for Affiliate Marketing. But they can drive traffic.
difference between wordpress and blogger is indexing blogger index faster than wordpress BUT if you can optimize your wordpress setup, wordpress is better i'm talking about self hosted wordpress
My opinion is blogger. I have used this platform for my blog for a long time. I have customized quit good enough. You can see my signature to watch my pet blog.
If you are starting , i recommend Blogger and nothing else.. if you know to work with wordpress , have a hosting , forget Blogger.
Wordpress. Nice admin panel, one-step plugin install & update (you don't even have to login using FTP and upload) and lots of support. You won't regret.
Blogger is good for those people who are just starting out... as the indexing is little faster and it has its own inherent traffic visiting you, without much effort on your part. On the other hand, wordpress is excellent for the experienced as it offers more features for good personal customization! Regards, RightMan
IMO I would say Wordpress. Then again it all depends on what your site will be. Blogger has been known to host some very successful "fashion" blogs for example...
I prefer wordpress over blogger. Since both are free try them both out yourself and go with the one you like more.
I would suggest (being a fan of it myself) WordPress. You can then setup a blogger site to feed more traffic to your WordPress site, just don't dup content. But definitely go with WP, tons of plugins and huge market share will help you do *anything*
