Hi, My hosting provider (3ix) disabled my account without notice because my Wordpress blog allegedly takes too much resources: So the questions I have: How to read the log above ? What steps should I take to optimize the blog ? Thank you.
I'm not using a free hosting service, but 3IX is quite cheap. Finally they restored my account. Maybe I had problems because I've just enabled CloudFlare and there was a lot of traffic from them at the beginning.
There is no monthly bandwidth limit. It looks like they just complained about the CPU usage of my blog. But i guess if traffic increases, it also affects CPU usage as the server needs to process more pages. Anyway, I have not changed anything and they still restored my account. I will see how it goes after a few days.
An increase in traffic can very well be the problem. Wait and see what happens? I'd like to know if it happens again.
Do you have a caching plugin installed? If not get one like W3 Total Cache, it will help to reduce the load on the database. Odds are this is a plugin causing the high load but that log really says nothing about what might be causing it. Do you have a list of the plugins you are using? Maybe that will give us a little more to go on.
Thanks for the feedback LGRComp. Yes, I already have W3 Total Cache plugin installed and enabled. Just a quick note that we wouldn't do anything to drive additional traffic. My hunch is that the host was concerned because the traffic was coming from our IPs, which happens because we act as a reverse proxy for sites, so you should have your host install mod_cloudflare so original visitor IP is passed back to your server.
