WordPress on GoDaddy hosting?

I got the deluxe hosting plan with GoDaddy and I tried to do it as follows:

    - Created database for WordPress
    - FTP uploaded the files into the highest folder

Still, it won't work. Tried again over a few different FTP's, same thing. Blank page on main URL and URL not found for the /wp-admin

    What gives?

Try using Fantastico, its a gray smily face at the bottom of your Cpanel screen.

Like I said, it's GoDaddy hosting. Fantastico is not included :(

    Windows

Impossible? I've done a bit of searching and there are people saying they did it // guides but they don't seem to work for me.

When I go to domain.com/wp-admin I get this:

"Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress."

Actually, I just tried switching to Linus but it didn't help the problem.

What are your settings for your database? you most likely have the wrong information there.

I set it with the same user/pass as my godaddy, hosting, and ftp used. The host name? ...that is my domain name

    I called it "WordPress"

In your configuration you want to set DB_HOST to be localhost. e.g. In your file wp-config.php under MySQL settings
