wordpress new version sucks

hello everybody
yes it really sucks,everytime i m trying to upload a file,getting the error of file type does not meet security guidelines,anyone knows how to fix it?

make sure you are not uploading a .exe , or any files but .jpg, .png .gif. ,.zip , .rar , there is nothing wrong with wordpress , its just security measures

i know all this,i asked for the solution of this problem,not to point out the problem (which i already have described in my topic if you had enough time to ready it)

i clearly read his message,and i already know what is the problem,i want to fix it,as i said that i want to able to upload any file like in older versions,

 

If you want to upload exe files, zip it. That would help much.

 

How are we supposed to know what files you are having a problem with? You didn't give a lot of information.

. It could have been anything such as your upload folder didn't have the proper permissions, You forgot to add a directory when activating the network features, Super Admin setting were in correct. your FTP skipped a file when uploading, Files are too big, a plug in interfering with the image up-loader, the file is infected, ...and 100 other reasons.

I agree with hmansfield. There could be some reasons that caused that problem, can you give us more information and details before it happened?

 

I didn't know that Wordpress has just changed its format. I joined wordpress just a couple months ago and did have a little understanding its format. Thanks for this info.

 

The security measures of the new wordpress are alittle buggy :/

only file types you can use is .jpg, .png .gif. ,.zip , .rar

 

That's what I found out. But I didn't know that about the files limitations. Thanks for explaining that.

 

If it's not working for you but is working fine for others... millions of others... like myself then it must SUCK right?

Most of these problems are NOT WordPress problems, they are hosting problems.

If you are not self hosted then perhaps you should look into investigating tech support with your host.

IMHO the new version is awesome... just plain awesome!

yaah , i too like the new version.... its security measures are really good .......... moreover wordpress is getting better and better each time its new versions are coming out.....
