Try running it through the Validator and it will give you some ideas where to look.

With a load of pukeware like you have there it is a wonder it even renders. You don't even have a valid doc type so it defaults to XHTML transitional. Just about a loose as it gets, and the crap being generated by the boatload of jquery turds still can't generate valid code. It is such a mess, that I would not even venture into it. You need to learn to actually write code at some point or you are just going to be continue being a regular visitor to the forum.

Jquery crap does not improve with age it deteriorates, and that mess you have there is so far past it "best before" date that it is starting to smell. Dump it and start over by writing some code of your own.

    wow that was harsh.

client purchased this theme. personally it's a POS and i can't edit even the smallest thing. i didn't write this code. i just installed it and am editing it.

i custom design and code my own stuff 99% of the time. this one particular time, and one other one, the clients purchased.

Unless the client is paying you a very large amount of money; you should tell them that they bought a load of crap and if they insist that they want it anyway the quote them a high hourly rate to re-write or just walk. There are times when a client is not worth keeping. If they want to keep that bag of garbage then tell them to try the support site for the theme, which probably either does not exist or does not offer help, just "premium" trash for more money.

I really think that any theme with code like that is not worth trying to fix.

The universe would be a better place if Wordpress had remained blogging software instead of pretending to be a valid CMS. Blog architecture is not suited to real websites, and all they did was load a bunch of badly written code on top of the wrong architecture. It would be like taking 10 year old Chevy and adding a tonne of parts from the junk yard and calling it a formula 1 race car; it is not going to win any races.

I wish I could be more help, but I would be afraid to touch anything in there; the whole thing could implode.

Yeah I am. Even if you find a solution, you still have broken code that is going to keep failing and be unmaintainable.
