    Hi,
Need some help and advice. I'm going to change the name of my website Bare-Assed.com to Lads-Mag.com however all the site is with the prefix of Bare-Assed for example:

    http://bare-assed.com/kevin-webster-corrie-star-gets-jailed/
How would I change Bare-Assed so it's replaced with Lads-Mag without causing any issues to my articles, photo's, pages etc?

Help would be great as I don't want to start all over again.

    Regards
    Steve

So you want to move your Wordpress to a new domain, maybe this link "moving wordpress" can help you.

The link is about "moving Wordpress from hosting to localhost" but the steps can also be used to move Wordpress to a new hosting or a new domain as well.

I am sure it won't causing any issues with your articles and any other stuff but it can cause serious problems with old incoming links and search engines result unless you redirect them correctly.

Backup your database and files first before you do anything else.

I would use the search and replace function in phpMyAdmin to rename all occurrences of the old name.

    Hi,
The hosting is staying as it is, I'm just wanting to change the URL to Bare-Assed to Lads-Mag.

You still need to install Wordpress in the Lads-Mag root folder to be able to run Wordpress with your new domain url.

Or you can activate Wordpress Multisite, so you can use your current Wordpress installation.

It's quite easy to configure WP Multisite with subdomains but it's really tough to configure with multiple domains (I've given up already).
