Wordpress Multiple category help

    Hi there,

    I'm in need of some help i've been looking for a while for an answer and can't find one so was just wondering if anyone else can help me here. I hope this is in the right section.

    Anyway on wordpress widgets you can add 2 categories and name them two completely different things for example.

    One category could be called cats the other dogs but the problem is if you posted something under the category cats in would appear under dogs as well.

    I want them to be completely separate.

    I hope you understood I tried to put it across the best I can.

    Are you specifying when you post that you only want it in the one category?

    Yeah, check to see if the cat is parent to the other.
