Wordpress - Moving blog to new domain

I'm trying to move my blog to another host using my latest back up. My old hosts deleted my blog and are being dicks, I also registered my domain name there and can't move it so I need to use a new one. I need to move my database to a new domain but I'm having alot of trouble doing so. All the guides I've found tell you to go to your old blog and change the url's and such but I don't have access to that :-/

    I've tried using this, http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/10/01/how-to-move-wordpress-blog-to-new-domain-or-location/
But it still just forwards to the old domain.

Hm... I think you can do your usual upload the WordPress files, edit your config file, and upload the MySQL database again. After that, considering that your domain changed, you would probably have to go with the IP address of the host your blog is with to access the admin panel, and then change your URL to your new domain. In theory, it should work...

Let me see if there is anyway for me to replicate this in my localhost...

Redirect your domain DNS to your new host, upload everything, setup the databases and load the backup, change the new configs in your wp-config.php an it should work.

In what way did you back up the database? Did you go to WP admin panel and get an export Db file?

    Restore your Database.

If you have phpMyAdmin and you know how to use it, use it.

Use your cPanel SQL backup feature, you can restore databases there :D

Instead of messing with database u could have just exported the whole posts and comments using export feature :(
and again import that exported xml file...via Manage>>Import
But it is now too late to suggest this very easy trick

Yes, It backed up correctly. But for my old domain I have no control over anything since I registered it at my old host and they turned out to be ass's. And yea I backed it up via phpmyadmin. My only real problem now is it re directing to the old domain. I found a half ass fix but now I'm getting a blank page. Looked it up and found out it could be a theme problem. So I'll try fixing that. But then again when I read the mysql it still has traces of the old domain. So I don't know. Hopefully this works (fixing the theme) and if it doesn't I might have to manually change it? Would that work?

The thing is, All I have is my back ups from when I would randomly back it up (A few times a week) My host ended up just deleting everything before I had the chance to do anything lol. If they would've given 5 minutes I could of solved this long ago :p

Thats what i was thinking,He must have pissed them off some way for them to do this as its not good for there busines if they dell accounts for no reason.

    It will work.
You may need to gointo php-myadmin and change the domain name.
Did you pay for the domain name and are your host keeping it?
Need any help throw me a pm.

So they dell your account for not having there adds on your site.
    What host is this?
Is it a free host.Does it state in there (TOS) That you need to have there adds on your site.

This dosent make any business sence-Loose a client and get some bad rep for a few adds.
