Wordpress - Meta Description being ignored by Google

    So, I use worpress with the All in one SEO pack. My posts are indexed in 30 mins or less but the snippet does not show the Meta title or Meta description added using the SEO pack utility.

    The snippet is an extract of the H1 tags, author names and date of the blog home page and pretty hopeless for any would be browser. Anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem?

    The snippet shown depends on the search performed and may be taken from dmoz, your meta description or somewhere on the returned page - whichever is deemed more relevant to the search. Also, the same page can show different snippets for different searches.

    Thanks but I thought the all in one seo pack was designed to stop this. It isn't much good ranking for a post that has a load of crap in the snippet - I wouldn't click it. Is there a solution?
