Wordpress / Joomla/ or something else?

I have no experience with any of these scripts. Can you recommend what you think would work best for me?

Here is what I will be doing:

Creating a website that gets updated on a weekly basis, perhaps daily. It will be related to health and include articles that I post along with videos that people can watch.

People should be able to comment on the videos and/or the articles themselves. I should be able to moderate the comments if I want to.

It should be SEO friendly so that indexing of new content is efficient.

I know almost no HTML, so everything should be simple when it comes to adding new content, moving things around, etc.

I want everything to be in an organized fashion. I will be using PPC advertising and sending people to different pages related to whatever it was they were searching for.

The pages should look clean and simple, yet not amateurish.

I need to be able to insert graphics, images, videos, etc., wherever I want on the pages.

    Thanks for any help guys.

IMO Wordpress. Joomla's probably too complicated for what you want.

Wordpress is by far the easiest to learn and use, joomla does give you more options though but both have a huge amount of plugins and templates which make building a site pretty easy and not too time consuming

I use both Joomla and WordPress. Joomla is great for any size site but has the capability, with its extentions, to be used for vary large sites. WordPress is great because its easy to learn and ideal for smaller sites though it has the plugins to add different functions to a site. A wide variety of great templates are available for both. As for the SEO I've heard WordPress would be better.

Wordpress is smaller, and easier to use. But Joomla is more powerful and it can handle a pretty big site.

Seeing your simple requirements, I am very sure WORDPRESS gets the vote.

Since you have no experience in HTML, i suggest wordpress.

Wordpress is straight forward, and very user-friendly. Installation is so simple.

Wordpress will do everything you want to accomplish.

    good luck!

I would say wordpress and if you think you could have big future plans for it then consider Joomla, but it sounds like you need as simple as possible so i think wordpress.

Start with Wordpress, if you're still a newbie. You can move on later with Joomla when you are already confident handling complicated admin interface.
