Wordpress + Joomla (or any other CMS)

I currently have a blog that uses Bluehost hosting and works very well.

I would like to start another site using Joomla, but I don't want to disrupt my Wordpress blog. How can I install Joomla so that it doesn't conflict with my Wordpress logistics?

Can Joomla simply be installed in a folder and kept there (contained)?

Simply install Joomla in a sub directory or subdomain. Joomla does not have to be installed in root. It is not a requirement as I assume you are talking about having both run on the same doamin.

see this google search for integrating the two http://www.google.com/search?q=joom...avclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B2GGFB_enUS264&aq=t

    Hey,

That's exactly what I want to do. I'll give it a shot!

    Thanks!

Start up another database. I hope your host has mysql Admin.

If you can not start up another database, or are only allowed one,
you may need to rename the prefix for the tables in the joomla database if
they are the same prefixes for Wordpress, which I kind of doubt.

Be careful renaming the joomla prefixes.

Yes, Joomla can be installed in its own folder/subdomain.

    Good luck.
