    Hello,

From last few days i have seen that Wordpress is deactivating free blogs and suspending accounts without prior notice.

6 days ago my 2 year old blog has been deactivated by wordpress and the reason was that it has been reported spam for advertising while i never advertised on that but when i wrote them that my log is not spam. they activated my blog in next 2 days. but again after 4 days they deactivated my blog saying same thing and this time they deactivated my remaining blogs also from that same account. I want to know that why wordpress is doing this or is this some technical error.

    Thanks.

Are you talking about WordPress.com or self-hosted on a free hosting?

You pretty much can't have any monetization on a Wordpress.com blog. No ads, no affiliate links..nothing. If you had anything like that, they would shut you down.

This, my friends is why you absolutely, positively never use free hosting. You're always at the mercy of whoever is paying the bills. It's their dime and they can TOS you on a whim and you have zero recourse.

    Hi,

Using Wordpress.com blogs for any type of commercial activity will usually be enough to get your blog shut down. Even linking to other commercial websites either via affiliate links or other website you own will also usually be shut down as well. This is the problem with using free hosting solutions. Also, you may not have been breaking there TOS and still be shut down by other people reporting your blog as spam.

The best bet is to get yourself your own self-hosted wordpress blog. Then you can pretty much do anything you like with it, without the fear of being shut down and losing all your hard work.

They probably gave you a chance to correct your violations and you didn't, so they cut you off again.
