Wordpress installs. Repetitive tasks. Can I eliminate it

    Hi,

I am doing a lot of installs of WP blogs on my own domains.

I find myself installing it via Fantastico.

    1.then uploading my teams.

    2.Then uploading my widgets

    3. Then customizing the settings

Is there a way to package an installation so that steps 1 - 3 are included and it is set up the way I want it?

Or do I have to do it by hand each time?

    Thanks

I'm not sure, but I had 'one click install' applied to my wordpress blogs. This means that I am able to install everything I want myself without contacting site administrators.

Thanks. I do that too. I have the 1 click install but I still need to customize it to fit my needs.

I would like the customization to be somewhat more automated.

install it on one domain, install all the plugins and then just create a new db on another domain and export / import it and upload all the files

You might want to look into Wordpress MU if you are running them all off of one hosting account. I've been thinking about it just to help keep everything up to date easier.

I heard about this one. But what I have been told is that a lot of themes do not work with it.

I have 1 hosting account(reseller) and a bunch of domains each with their own Cpanel account. Will MU work for that?

The database export/import may be the way to go. Get one setup right then before any content is on it export the DB.

I'll give you a bulk discount on my service and do them for you.
