Wordpress information

Hopefully one of you sharp people can help me with the following. I'm trying to put a Wordpress blog up using CuteFTP. I'm using an instruction manual called WP_Blog_Guru.pdf. Up until this point it has been very helpful. I got everything done to here and then the next instruction for installing a new theme was this:

"Just login to your site via an FTP program. (I did this)
Then navigate to your Wordpress installation and you’ll see the
following files:" (the wp-files)

I'm sure this makes perfect sense to most of you but it's Greek to me. Could someone decipher this and tell me what I should do in real simple language.

installing themes is by placing the themes in wp-content/themes subdirectory... hth

 

My problem is finding that directory. I assume the action of navigating to Wordpress installation will get me to the right place. Can you tell me how to get to the directory you mentioned?

Are you using Cpanel?

Connect via FTP and look inside the Public HTML folder.

 

public_html --> wp-content --> themes

should be here..
