Wordpress in a weird situation

    ok so i hope i explain this the best way possible but here it goes


    i bought a website name and a friend of mine offered me space
    so im not sure what he did but basically when i upload things via ftp they show up like i have my own storage so instead of saying www.hiswebsite.com/yvonne they actually show up as www.makeupbyyvonne.com

    well i tried to install wordpress and it wont work
    is it because the space isnt actually mine? do i need him to do anything on his end?

    help.

    I'm not entirely sure I understood what you are trying to convey.

    Where are you trying to install wordpress? makeupbyyvonne ?
