I know all about the loop and inserting text above it. My problem is, I am using a plugin called tubepress. It only works within my posts. So, I need to make a post and make it stick at the top of the page above the loop...forever. Sticky-WP plugin worked and tubepress worked in it, but it messed my sidebars up. Can someone twll me how to accomplish this? Get the top post that is on my page at adviceforbritney.com to stay there... Thanks
As sticky is the only option to keep your post to stay on top forever but as you said it messed your sidebars up then you need to change its date every day if you want to stay that post on top forever DON.
no need to edit the post date.. just edit the post id to all 9s till you want the post to be sticky.. once the purpose is served edit it back to its original value.. hope that helps..
But then the post date in the blog will show 2023 which will make your readers think you were someone from the future ...
Actually, It didnt work When I post a future date, the post doesnt show up. Apparently, when I post it for a future date, it justs hangs out until the future date becomes the actual date. So, It doesnt work...again
oh! did u try the post id edit i suggested? if u can't get it working, let me know.. i will do it for u..
It didnt work. I edited the post date to July 99 9999 at 99:99 It reverted my post to Dec of 1969. Did I do something wrong?
