My Wordpress site is on a shared cloud, 8 core CPU, 1GB RAM, 300GB B/W and 10GB space. My hosting has cPanel installed.

BUT, My entry processes seem to be VERY high! As an idle site with no visitors and only me accessing wp-admin, I have 1/2 out of 20 Entry Processes, and this easily reaches 15 to 20 sometimes!

My wp-options table in mySQL is also 40mb+ and i cannot seem to delete the orphaned data :(

Can anybody help? I am also willing to pay anyone who can sort it out successfully!!

    Thanks

How many plug ins are you running (and what are they) and are you also running email from this? If so, are you sending mass mailings?

You also need to check your theme. A lot of free themes are loaded with scripts. Bad scripts. It could be that you theme has hidden scripts in it that is causing your site to be used as a proxy, ad server, or has a virus in it that is draining your server.

If there is a drain on the resources, your host should be able to tell you what it is.
