I've been away from blogging for the past two years and have lost a lot of information etc that I used to have, so my question, what is a good program that I can use to upload files quickly to my web hosting?

    Thanks :)

most webhost can upload small (under 10mb) archived (.zip, .rar, .gz etc) files via their built in file manager and many allow you to extract them from file manager so if its just a one off bunch of files that need uploading (such as the wordpress install files) it can be easier sometimes to not mess around with an ftp program, however they are useful for multiple files.

if you have ssh access you also have extra options such as wget

I use the FireFox extension Fire FTP. I can drop an entire installation of Wordpress ( a couple of hundred files) in a matter of seconds. But it also depends on how fast your Internet Service is as well.

usually I use file manager feature on my host, upload a .zip file and then extract it in file manager. Sometimes I use FileZila FTP
