    Hi,

I'm using a downloaded theme for my WordPress blog and it's ran fine for over a year.

For the past week or two, it seems every three days or so the website doesn't load and I get a message similar to this -

When I look at the index.php file, there has been some text inserted on line 17, replacing what should be there. It says -

When I amend this to what it should be, I then get an error saying that there is a problem with the default-filters.php file on line 197 and 198. Again, the original text has been replaced with something different -

When I change both of these errors, the website loads - but not properly (the design is wrong, colours missing, etc) - and requires me to upload a few of the files once again.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Dan

Did you recently just install a new widget or add-on?

Iframes like those are embedded to pages to add malware to your page. I don't know more about it, but many friend's sites get infected that way. You should clear your server and redo everything. Beware its not a simple coding issue, its an outside attack.

Which theme are you using? I want to be sure I'm not using a theme by the same coder.

markupdude has the best solution IMO. Reinstall and don't use that theme.
