Hey! I know that I can go to 'Options' and then 'Reading' and then choose to use one of my pages as my index.php page but is it possible to create a totally separate page and use it instead?

My site is http://www.wanderstruck.com and I want to use the page that I've constructed at http://www.wanderstruck.com/index3.htm

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

    Thanks!
    Kirsty

Yes, you have to create a page that you want to use first (Write-->Page). Then it will show up on the drop-down list of pages that you can use for the homepage. Voila. :)

Thanks but I don't want it to look like the rest of my Wordpress pages with the columns on the side, etc. I want to use a totally separate file like the one I mentioned. Any ideas?

    Create a file 'home.php'.

Code that page to get data from your wp database and call it index.php?
