WORDPRESS: Google analytics

    Does anyone know how to get analytics working on the newest version of WP as i have tried the many plugins available but it still does not work.

    I thought you just need to paste the Analytics code in the theme?! That's all you need to do. I don't use plugins on my blogs.

    Dude!! Just place that code in a Widget!

    Copy the Code and paste it in a TEXT Widget.

    You should just be able to paste the code into the footer of the theme. I don't believe you need to use a text widget for that. Give it a go.

    Yeah! You can even do that. But.. if you are a newbie, then.. The Text widget is the best thing(even if you aren't a newbie).

    So.. Just go to Design --> Widgets and select a TEXT widget. Click 'Edit' on that new widget and paste the Analytics code. Now.. Click 'Change' and then Click 'Save Changes'.

    I'm not a noob. I'm pretty sure WP have disabled javascript on their newest version so it dosen't work...well it isn't working for me.

    Well.. May I know the URL of your blog?

    I have seen a lot of blogs which are having AdSense Ads in Widgets of 2.6 WP.

    I haven't upgraded yet!

    I use the Ultimate Google Analytics plugin.. does it's job.
