Hello all, Has anyone here got "Wordpress + Godaddy Win Hosting + URL Rewriting working". I tried using URL Rewriting but it certainly doesnt work, if anyone here has got it working let me know. Note: Switching to Linux hosting is not an option. Thanks.
I was running Wordpress on Godaddy Deluxe Windows Hosting and URL Rewriting worked, no problem. However, some of my plugins were memory hogs, so Godaddy contacted me and suggested I move over to their new Grid Hosting. Well I did and it's been far from smooth. Grid hosting simply does NOT support URL Rewriting, so permalinks are out of the question. I'm forced to use the default links option in wordpress.
After contacting Godaddy Support, they actually repsonded with the following... Thank you for contacting Online Support. Unfortunately this is simply the way the hosting functions. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion. I can't believe how unhelpful they've been with all of these issues.
