Hey all! I was wondering whether making a wordpress theme and placing a link to my site at the bottom will hurt or help my site? It's obviously a ton of more links (if its a good theme hehe) but would it be penalized by G man?
Many people do this. It won't get you penalised but may have little effect. If your site is about finance and kids are using the theme on gaming/personal blogs you won't be getting relevant backlinks.
ah ok i see so it might be a good idea to make a theme specific to say, arcade sites for an online games site that would be a positive correct
