We paid an expensive WP "expert" to make a template for us only to find that an important default WP feature isn't working. In Admin > Settings > Reading we set the front page to display a static page but that doesn't change anything and the front page just displays posts. The developer claimed "we didn't specify that the front page would display static content before the job started" and of course he won't fix it for us. Every other template I've seen or used worked with this option, what is the problem here and why doesn't our blog work right. Having just shelled out a bunch of cash I don't want to spend more than $20 or so to fix this.
I am sorry I cannot help you but you can tell the original designer that nor did you tell him to change the original wordpress functionality.
