    Ok, I know how to take an HTML page and add this code at the beginning;

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Snarfer
    */
    ?>

    I uploaded the page to my current theme, created the page in Wordpress and activated my custom template. All easy, works great.

    My question is, is there php code I can insert that will also activate the plugins for my new page?

    If the plug ins are installed and activated they are already active site side. You don't need to do anything. You will however need to find out if they can be called upon using template tags. Each plug in will be different in that repsect.

    Basically it would be nice if I could get at the least all-in-one-seo carried over to the template

    There is no reason why all in one shouldn't be in your page editor just like any other page.

    Definately not there. I'm definately not a newb when it comes to blogging with wordpress but these custom static pages are driving me nuts.

    The only thing I can recommend is to go back to basics and ensure that you have crated the page properly.http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages
    The page editor is universal and doesn't change just because you created a custom template. You choose the template in the sidebar, completely away from all of the other functions in the editor, so they cannot be affected because they don't change.

    There is a Pro version of AIOSEO, it might be one of the extra features. Have you asked on their forum?
