Wordpress comments vs. Facebook Connect vs. Disqus?

I wanted to get some feedback on your opinions of replacing Wordpress comments with either Disqus or Facebook Connect. Both of these two alternatives have a lot of usage across the web (for an example of Disqus, check out any article on Mashable.com).

What are the pros and cons to this? Just from what I've seen, these are my opinions:

Facebook connect - obviously, there is a huge user base on Facebook and it is an awesome way to cross-promote your site, especially if you're running a Facebook Page/Group.

Disqus - It's becoming so widespread that many people already have an account. It's well organized and takes care of all of the dirty work for you - no more Akismet or spam bots.

...as for Wordpress comments, do they really hold much value to justify hosting them on your Wordpress database?

The only cons: I'm not really sure how you "control" the content of these two services...can you delete comments as an admin? etc. Disqus has an option that lets you report a post, so I'm guessing the answer is yes. I have close to no knowledge of Facebook Connect, though.

The other con is if either of these services lose popularity in the distant future, and you have to remove them from your sites.

Any more thoughts on this topic?

I used Disqus for a little while, I was getting more spam using Disqus then I was through plain wordpress, i am not sure why. The other thing I had a problem with was a lack of ability to control the code for displaying the comments. I have chosen to not link out commenter names, I can't do that with Disqus or Intense Debate.

Both Disqus and Intense debate allow the use of Facebook connect to post comments, I haven't hear of a stand alone comment structure using just Facebook connect.

Thanks!! That was good to know. I have seen spam on Disqus...I guess that's what happens when you don't get Akismet.

I saw a few sites that have "Log in with Facebook" on them, but it wasn't Disqus. It appeared to be from the Facebook API.
