WordPress - Comments on sidebar, remove authors from displaying

    I'm using the built in comments widget for WordPress. I want to remove any of the authors from the list. Basically if one of the authors comments (me really) than I don't want it in that list. Only want to show my visitors comments there.

    Will I need to download a separate widget for this?

    Are we not suppose to respond to our readers when they post comments? Do you think I should start e-mailing them all indvidually? I think its safe to say its okay for me to comment back to my readers when they place comments on my blog.
